TROMBONGA, the trombone quartet, swings back to the Elmwood for a session of mellow holiday jazz arrangements and some savory jazz standards. The unit has been performing for about twenty years at venues like bookstores, area libraries and selected cafes on their “Cafe Society Tour,” the Berkeley Arts Festival, the Rockridge Festival, YOSHIs outdoors.  They’re pleased to return to the College Avenue for their annual holiday sidewalk session.  Featured are:  David Hemphill, Carol Wing, Justin Mar and Pat Mullan, leader.  TROMBONGA testifies that “The trombone is the instrument of the 21st century.”
