Dr. Spatz received her PHD from the Coastal Conservation Lab at UC Santa Cruz where she examined the biogeography of threatened island birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles, and opportunities for their conservation and is currently a Senior Conservation Scientist at Pacific Rim Conservation (PRC). The mission of PRC is to maintain and restore native bird diversity, populations, and habitats in Hawaii and across the Pacific region. PRC primarily focuses on seabird conservation and translocation of populations into predator-free habitats.
