Baker & Commons has resided in the historic corner building at College Ave and Russell St since 2018. Built in 1921, what was once a pharmacy with a lunch counter and soda fountain, has been remodeled for a modern day cafe with a nod to it’s historic roots. After WWII the space housed the memorable Ozzie’s Soda Fountain. It has been our pleasure to meet many people who frequented the soda fountain in those days, and to hear their extraordinary stories over the lunch counter. Through high quality food and open doors we continue to foster a welcoming place where our community members can gather for something delicious to eat, a hot cup of coffee, a glass of wine and a meaningful conversation.
Our breakfast and lunch menus are created from sourcing the best, seasonal ingredients. We make it a point to serve locally roasted coffee and tea. All of our baked goods are made in house.
Our bakery expanded in 2023 to offer layer cakes, pudding, cream pies and Straus organic soft serve in addition to all of our morning pastries and cookies.
